This quick and easy hummus recipe adds a bold kick of garlicky, spicy harissa flavor to classic hummus. It comes together in minutes and uses only three ingredients—tasty chickpeas, rich olive oil and The Spice Hunter Spicy Garlic Global Fusion Rub. This spicy rub, inspired by the Tunisian hot chili spice paste harissa, combines chili peppers, plenty of robust garlic, a tangy zing of lemon and warm, earthy coriander, cumin and caraway. Serve with warm, fresh pita, tomato, onion, cucumber salad and falafel for dipping.
- 1 15.5 oz. can garbanzo beans, drained
- 2 tsp. The Spice Hunter Spicy Garlic Global Fusion Rub
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
Using a food processor or immersion blender, puree ingredients together until smooth.
Serve with vegetables and pita chips or use as a sandwich spread.
