- Bring cider, apples, cinnamon and cloves to a boil in a saucepan. Reduce heat and simmer for about 25 minutes until apples are tender.
Remove apples and add sugar to the cider. Boil until reduced to about ¾ of a cup, about 20 minutes.
Strain and spoon the sauce over the apples. Serve a la mode.
