- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 cup minced carrots
- 1 cup diced yellow onions
- 3 minced garlic cloves
- ½ cup diced green bell pepper
- 1 lb. ground beef
- ½ cup dry red wine
- 2 (28 oz.) cans diced tomatoes in juice

¼ tsp. The Spice Hunter Fine Black Pepper

2 Tbsp. The Spice Hunter Italian Seasoning
- 1 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 5 cups cooked penne pasta
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F. Sauté onion in oil in a large skillet. Stir in garlic, carrots, and bell pepper. Add beef and cook until browned. Stir in wine, simmer a few minutes, then add tomatoes, Italian seasoning, and pepper. Simmer 5-6 minutes. Spread pasta over bottom of 9x13-inch baking dish. Pour sauce evenly over pasta, making sure pasta is covered. Sprinkle cheese over top. Cover with foil and bake 30 minutes.
