Mini Black Pepper Scones with Smoked Salmon and Dill

Ingredients
- 3 cups flour
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 5 tsp. baking powder
- ½ tsp. salt

½ tsp. The Spice Hunter Black Pepper
- ¾ cup butter
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup milk
- Fresh dill sprigs
- ½ lb. smoked salmon
Directions
Preheat oven to 400°F. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Using a pastry cutter, cut in the butter until the mixture is crumbly. Mix in the egg and milk. Knead the dough a few times on a floured surface. Cut mini scones and place on a baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool completely. To serve, split the scones and add a piece of smoked salmon and a sprig of fresh dill.
