Ingredients
- ½ cup butter
- 3 large celery stalks, finely chopped
- 1 medium white or yellow onion, chopped
- 1 lb. (about 3 medium) Golden Delicious apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
- 12 oz. dried cubed stuffing
- 2 Tbsp. toasted sunflower seeds
- ½ cup chopped pecans
- 1 (14.5 oz.) can chicken broth
-
1 tsp. The Spice Hunter Poultry Seasoning Blend
-
¼ tsp. The Spice Hunter Coarse Black Pepper
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F. In a large sauté pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add celery and onion; stir occasionally and cook until tender, about 10 minutes. Add apples and cook 5 minutes longer. In large bowl, combine celery mixture with cubed stuffing and remaining ingredients; toss to mix well. Spoon stuffing into a buttered 13 by 9 inch baking dish; cover with foil and bake 40 minutes, or until heated through. For a crisper top, remove foil during last 10-15 minutes of baking. Makes about 8 cups.
