Ingredients for Orange Drizzle


1. In a large bowl, sift together flour, sugar, and pumpkin pie spice.

2. Using a pastry blender or 2 knives, cut margarine into dry ingredients until the mixture resembles fine crumbs. Add butter flavor and stir with a fork.

3. Shape mixture into 2 balls; knead each until smooth.

4. On an ungreased baking sheet, pat or roll dough into two 8-inch circles. For a decorative edge, press fork tines against outside edge of dough.

5. With a sharp knife, cut each dough circle into 12 wedges; do not separate. Prick each wedge with a fork.

6. Bake in a preheated moderate oven (325°F) for 23-28 minutes or until edges are fight brown. While still warm, re-cut wedges. Remove from pan; cool on a wire rack.

Orange Drizzle:

1. Combine confectioners sugar with orange and vanilla extracts.

2. Stir in enough milk to make it drizzling consistency.

3. Drizzle over cooled shortbread wedges.
