Sourdough French Toast
Ingredients for French Toast
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. Sauer's Pure Vanilla Extract
- 1½ tsp. Sauer's Ground Cinnamon
- ⅛ tsp. salt
- 1 loaf sourdough bread, thinly sliced
- 4 Tbsp. butter
Ingredients for Cinnamon Sugar Topping
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 2 tsp. Sauer's Ground Cinnamon
Preparation
1. In a large bowl, whip together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon and salt.
2. Lightly dip the bread slices in the egg mixture.
3. Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Place bread in skillet and cook until browned on the bottom.
4. Turn bread over and cook again until browned.
5. Combine powdered sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle toast with cinnamon sugar and serve.
