Pickled Beets
Ingredients
- 3 cups sugar
- 2 qt. vinegar
- 8 Tbsp. Sauer's Pickling Spice
- Approximately ½ bushel of beets, tops removed
Preparation
1. Cook beets, cool and remove skins. If large, cut into quarters; if small, use whole.
2. Bring sugar, vinegar and spices to a boil. Add cooked beets and boil 15 minutes.
3. Put in sterilized jars and seal.
