Old Fashioned Cole Slaw
Ingredients
- 8 cups cabbage, finely chopped
- ¼ cup carrot, shredded
- ½ cup Sauer's Mayonnaise
- ¼ cup milk
- ¼ cup buttermilk (optional, or substitute regular milk)
- ⅓ cup sugar
- ½ tsp. salt
- ⅛ tsp. Sauer's Black Pepper
- 1½ Tbsp. white vinegar
- 2½ Tbsp. lemon juice
Preparation
1. Chop cabbage and carrots into small pieces about the size of rice; food processor can be used.
2. Combine in bowl the sugar, salt, pepper, milk, mayonnaise, buttermilk, vinegar and lemon juice. Blend until smooth.
3. Add the chopped cabbage and carrots. Mix well.
4. Cover and refrigerate.
