Lentil Soup

Ingredients

  • ½ lb. lentils, washed
  • 1 qt. water
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 can chicken stock
  • ½ cup celery, chopped
  • ½ cup onion, chopped
  • 1 Sauer's Bay Leaf
  • ¾ cup cooked ham, chopped

Preparation

1. Soak lentils in water over night.

2. Using the same water, bring the lentils to a simmer.

3. Add the butter, stock, celery, onions, and bay leaf and simmer for 1 hour.

4. Stir in the ham and serve.
