Hard Sauce
Prep Time: 10 minutes plus 1 hour chilling
Ingredients
- ½ cup margarine or butter, at room temperature
- 1 cup sifted confectioners' sugar
- 2 egg whites, at room temperature and stiffly beaten
- 1 tsp. Sauer's Pure Vanilla Extract
- ½ tsp. Sauer's Ground Nutmeg or to taste
Preparation
1. In a small bowl, cream butter thoroughly. Gradually add confectioners' sugar, beating until light and fluffy.
2. Fold in beaten egg whites. Beat for 2-3 minutes. Add vanilla and nutmeg, blending well.
3. Chill thoroughly. Serve with heated plum pudding or other desserts.
