Green Bean Casserole
Ingredients
- 1 cup onion, diced
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 2 cans green beans, drained
- ½ tsp. Sauer's Peppermill Grind Black Pepper
- ½ tsp. Sauer's Garlic Salt
- 2 cups French fried onions, divided
- 1 cup cheddar cheese
Preparation
1. In a medium sauté pan, cook onions and mushrooms in butter for 5-10 minutes or until soft.
2. Preheat oven to 350°F.
3. Combine onions and mushrooms with soup, green beans, pepper, garlic salt and 1 cup of French fried onions.
4. Place mixture in a 2-quart casserole dish and bake for 20 minutes.
5. Carefully sprinkle top of casserole with remaining French fried onions and cheese. Bake for an additional 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.
