Fried Pickles
Ingredients
- 1 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp. Sauer's Garlic Flavored Seasoning Salt, plus more to taste
- 2¼ cups flour, divided
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 (32 oz.) jar dill pickle spears, drained
- Oil for frying
Preparation
1. Heat oil in large pot or skillet over medium-high heat to 365°F.
2. In a medium bowl, combine milk, eggs, ½ teaspoon of seasoning salt, and ¼ cup flour.
3. In another medium bowl, combine remaining 2 cups flour, cornmeal and 1½ teaspoon of seasoning salt.
4. Dip pickles into milk mixture and then into flour mixture. Repeat by dipping each pickle into milk and flour mixtures again.
5. Carefully place each pickle into hot oil and fry until golden brown.
6. Drain on a rack or paper towels.
