Crab Boil
Ingredients
- 12 large crabs
- ¼ cup salt
- 1 lemon, quartered
- 1 bag Sauer's Crab Boil
- Sauer's Cayenne Pepper
- Can also use 4 lbs. shrimp or crawfish
Preparation
1. In a large pot combine 3 quarts of water, salt, lemon and Crab Boil bag. If desired, add cayenne pepper to taste.
2. Bring mixture to a rolling boil. Add seafood, return to a boil and cook on high 20 minutes (5-10 minutes for shrimp, 15 minutes for crawfish).
3. After boiling, allow seafood to remain in water solution for 5 minutes. To make crabs easier to pick, add 2 tablespoons vinegar to water.
