Corned Beef
Ingredients
- 1 (2½ - 3½ lbs.) corned beef brisket
- 2 Tbsp. Sauer's Pickling Spice
- 1 cup carrots, sliced
- 1 cup onion, sliced
- 1 head of cabbage, sliced
- Water
Preparation
1. Place meat and pickling spice into large pot. Add water to cover meat.
2. Bring to a boil, cover, reduce heat and simmer for about 2 hours or until tender.
3. Add vegetables and cook, covered, another 30 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
4. Remove meat and vegetables from water.
5. Slice meat and serve.
