Asian Spiced Yams

Ingredients
- 2 large yams, peeled and cubed
- 1 large garlic clove, mashed
- ¼ tsp. Sauer's Ground Cloves
- ¼ tsp. Sauer's Ground Allspice
- ¼ tsp. Sauer's Ground Ginger
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup water
- ¼ cup Madeira or dry sherry
- ¼ cup soy sauce
Preparation
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Put cubed yams in large bowl.
3. Mix together all other ingredients to make a marinade. Pour marinade over yams and toss well.
4. Spread yams in a large roasting pan. Cover pan with foil and bake for 30-45 minutes or until tender.
5. Cook remaining marinade over medium heat until reduced by half. Serve as a dipping sauce.
