Ingredients
- 6 cups of popped popcorn
- 1 stick butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp butter extract
- 1/4 cup light corn syrup
- 1 tbsp baking soda
- 1 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
- Prepare popcorn
- In a large pot over medium heat, melt butter
- Add sugar, butter extract and corn syrup
- Allow to boil for 5 minutes
- Add baking soda, mixture will expand
- In a large bowl, pour caramel mixture over popcorn (be careful, it will be hot!)
- Chop pecans into bite-size pieces and mix into popcorn
- Stir until everything is evenly coated and incorporated
- Spread on a lined baking sheet and allow to cool
- Enjoy!
